...a deranged idiot murdered Dimebag Darrell the guitarist of Pantera/Damageplan and three other people at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio. Dimebag's death made a lot of people very sad.

After I heard about it on the news I stayed up all night reading forum threads to find out more info. The next day I was so exhausted I called in sick to work.

Over 10 years after my first Pantera concert, that day was the end of an era for me. The end of guitar heroes, head-banging, and dreams of rock stardom. So it goes.

Here's to Dimebag who helped make my formative years exciting and very loud.
